Your Say

David Curran says: I'm not a rugby fan and I'd never heard of Ray Dutton until about 12 years ago when I worked with him for a while. Someone who worked with us told me he was a rugby league legend and i found this hard to believe because you could never hope to meet such a genuine, unassuming, hard working and funny man - he could teach todays so-called sporting legends a thing or two about humility. Greatest respect to a lovely guy, hope he's healthy and happy wherever he is now. (28/08/2009)

Joanne Nieman says: Ray Dutton is my dad and my hero! Just want to say thanks to David who posted the lovely comment about my dad, my dad had a fantastic career but for some reason still isn't in the Widnes Hall of Fame. But he never moans about it, he just loved playing the game. Anyway, he's doing just fine, still loves his rugby, and his darts, snooker, bowls and so on! (08/12/2009)

Anonymous says: Should most certainly be in the Hall of Fame still holds the points record at Widnes (21/06/2011)

Ray is the most fantastic, funny, big scary fella you could ever want to meet. The giant with a heart of gold.
Made me laugh throughout hols.
Sorry that holiday ever ended. (01/08/2011)

David Peel says: I can honestly say I am proud to call Ray a friend. One of life's good guys. Always makes time for people. I first met him whilst playing bowls for moorfield club over 7 years ago now. A really lovely fella. Shame his jokes haven't got any better, lol. (07/11/2011)
