The latter part of Lewis Jones' playing career was spent in the Sydney Second Division as player-coach for the highly-successful Wentworthville Magpies in the 1960s.

The Welsh centre/fullback, who also represented Wales at Rugby Union, was a prolific goalkicker
    both in Britain and Australia.

The great Ken Thornett has always and continues to nominate Lewis Jones as the best player he has ever seen. He got to see him close up when they were teammates at Leeds. I was lucky enough as a boy growing up in Sydney to witness his skills at the end of his career at Wenty. His leadership on and off the field was exemplary.

Elected to the Leeds Rugby League Hall of Fame.

Still thought to be the best Welsh Rugby Union capture by Leeds.

Does anyone know what his win/loss record was at Wentworthville ?
