Manly signed Graham Williams from Norths the previous weekend and he turned out for his first game. Mal Reilly still suffering with an ankle injury was initially replaced by Rob Cameron but he had to withdraw with the flu and Lindsay Drake took his place.
Peter Peters replaced Bob Moses in the 23rd minute due to an injured knee.
