Biography

Former Mackay forward will be forever remembered for scoring a tremendous try in extra-time in Canberra's grand final victory over Balmain in 1989. Jackson, who had failed to make an impression with Warrington in England in 1987, used this new career momentum to sign with Wests for 1990 and scored the winning try on debut in the third State of Origin match that year. He returned to the Queensland side in 1991 but, after linking with G’Coast in 1992, retired the following year because of a severe back injury.

Super tough forward. Played some awesome games for Queensland, real shame his career ended early
