Biography

NSW-born (Cowra), Queensland-raised (Kawana) utility player played for the Roosters off the interchange bench in the club’s win over the Warriors in the 2002 grand final. Chris Flannery also made his Origin debut that year – for Queensland – and regularly appeared for the Maroons from the interchange and as starting lock (2005). Lean and wiry for a forward but with a terrific workrate, Flannery was lock in the Roosters’ 18-6 loss to Penrith in the 2003 grand final before being relegated to the interchange bench in the club’s 16-13 loss to the Bulldogs in the decider the following year.
