Biography

Bulldogs’ interchange forward grabbed a starting position in the club’s grand final team following the withdrawal of captain Steve Price through injury. Maitua, a Souths junior, impressed acquitted himself well in the Bulldogs’16-13 win over the Roosters in the premiership decider. In 2006 he confirmed his reputation as one of the bright young stars of the game when he made his Test debut as a lock in the first match of the Tri-Nations competition, the 30-18 win over NZ in October.

    Great ball playing backrower. Should of played for NSW. Did play for Australia.
