Biography

NZ winger/centre, originally from Hamilton, played for Keighley in England in 1990-91 before joining St George. Injury saw Donnelly miss out on a place in the club's grand final loss to Brisbane in 1992 and he was a non-playing reserve in the grand final the following year. On the Kiwi tour of Great Britain and France in 1993-94, Donnelly and Test captain Steve Kearney were injured when a French hotel balcony gave way. He later joined Super League club Adelaide.

everything was going so good for him, but when he fell off the balcony and broke his ankle, clowning about with Kearney (moks) while touring with the Kiwis in France, he never really recovered and i dont think his full potential was reached.
