Biography

Veteran Newcastle prop, a valuable impact player from the interchange bench, overcame a series of injuries that saw him miss the Knights’ 1997 premiership win to play his part in the club’s 30-24 grand final win against P’matta in 2001. Grief was one of Souths’ important signings for the 2002 season but played only one match before retiring.

Played his best football at the magpies.

Retired at 28yo due to chronic back injury.

  • Craig Minshull

Very underrated player, gritty, gutsy prop forward who played well above his weight. Retired prematurely due to injury, would have definitely gone on to play representative football.
