Biography

Reserve forward in Balmain's loss to C’bury in 1988 was a member of the club's forward pack in the controversial loss to Canberra in extra-time in the 1989 grand final. Edmed’s career was winding down at Balmain when he was the recipient of a huge offer from Super League to play for Nth Queensland in 1966. He subsequently played for English club Sheffield in 1997.

    I coached Steve in the tweed heads Seagulls junior league teams. when he was 9 and10 years old .he could kick goals from the side line bare footed.j

    Big feller with a high work rate. Not the most reliable with ball in hand but able to make hard yards all the same.
