Match Notes
Barry Beath again dropped out of the St.George team he was initially replaced by Mick Dryden but he was a late withdrawal and Merv Boatswain played in the 2nd row. Dennis Brandley also pulled out late with a leg injury and was replaced by Tony Branson.
Balmain lost Dave Bolton late and was replaced by Peter Fardell and Arthur Beetson who broke his nose in the 2nd test on Saturday also dropped out and was replaced by Geoff Connell.
Billy Smith sustained a bad rib injury midway through the 1st half and was replaced by Ross Strudwick. Merv Boatswain was replaced late in the game Apisai Toga due to concussion.
