Biography

Canberra junior was a non-playing reserve in the 1989-90 grand finals before partnering captain Mal Meninga in the loss to Penrith in the 1991 premiership decider. Moving to Wests in 1992, he was the season’s equal leading try-scorer (with Tim Brasher) with 16 tries. After a brief stay with Penrith, Bell linked with St George in 1995 where he was a consistent try-scorer during the next three seasons. A winger in the 20-8 loss to Manly in the 1996 grand final, Bell saw out his career with a season with Wigan in 1998.
