Biography

Former Wellington halfback came to Manly in 1984. An understudy to Des Hasler, Shaw proved to be an important part of the club's grand final success in 1987 when he came onto the field as a fresh reserve. While playing in England in 1989 he was 'man of the match' in Salford's Lancashire Cup win. Moving to the G’Coast was seen as his chance to establish a regular first grade spot but this did not eventuate despite several good performances.

Another player like Frank Stokes, who was a brilliant reserve , who when called upon never let his side down, you always knew you were still in the game with paul on the bench, thanks paul from an appreciative Manly fan.....

Loved watching Paul in a salford shirt great with ball in hand but took a few to many high shots because of his height. Great memories.
