It should be noted that Orisi Cavuilati is a hero. He received a bravery medal in 2003 from the Governor General. The citation reads as follows:

On the afternoon of 18 January 2002, Mr. Cavuilati apprehended an armed offender after a robbery at the Commonwealth Bank in Marrickville, NSW.

At approximately 2:50 pm, Mr. Cavuilati, as part of his employment, was on his way to collect security & recycle bins from the Commonwealth Bank in Marrickville. As he approached the bank he noticed several people running out of the bank screaming. He also saw a man wearing a balaclava & carrying a bag running from the bank behind these people. As the offender passed close to Mr. Cavuilati, Mr. Cavuilati punched him in the head & knocked him to the ground. The offender then produced a handgun & pointed it toward Mr. Cavuilati. A struggle began during which Mr. Cavuilati, who sustained minor injuries to his face & hands, was able to pull the gun away from the offender. With the assistance of others, Mr. Cavuilati then restrained the offender until police officers arrived.

By his actions, Mr. Cavuilati displayed considerable bravery.
