Another north Newcastle player. He lived in a small cottage in railway st with his wife and 3 kids. Apparently he represented Newcastle against England and the Nz all lblacks in 1910 . He also played for newcastle in the first sydney in 1908 and 1909. However ww1 commenced and he along with many other novocastrians volunteered their services. Unfortunately he was killed in action. The club then took on the onerous task of looking after his young family . Had the war not eventuated, he possiblyCould have achieved higher Honours in the game and his young family would have been better off. A bit of a sad story.
