Biography

Penrith winger was a try-scorer in the 1990 grand final loss to Canberra. A City Origin rep in 1991, he was on the flank in the club’s grand final success that year but was out of favour with the club’s selectors during the next two seasons. In 1994 he moved to Wests where, despite the club's low ranking, Smith scored an equal club record 18 tries in his first season with the Magpies.
