    Geoff Selby was a talented young player who was considered to be an upcoming Australian Test player.

    Selby was considered a future Australian rep player until his untimely death.

    A player who was destined for big things , touted as the next Big thing , alas due to tragedy ( a passenger in a car which was hit by a semi or a speeding driver with no license and drunk , after all 102 matches for a career that only included 1984-1988, 5 seasons and had already amassed an average of 20 games a season, plus an off season with Salford in England , a player who really could have been anything, sadypassed away at only 23 Rest in Love

    Big raw boned mobile backrower that could have been anything. Im almost certain that he represented City Seconds in his time at the top. Just as importantly always happy and an outstanding human being. R.I.P. Geoff Selby

    One of his last family acts was to give a suggestion to his sister Beth the name Nathan for her 2nd son he was named Nathan Geoffrey in his uncles memory. Sadly he only met his oldest nephew who remembers him fondly.
