Biography

Wallaby Test captain created a furor in 1974 when he did the unthinkable and switched codes to secure his family's financial future. A second rower with Gordon, Sullivan captained Australia in the last 5 of his 15 Test appearances; his record being a win against Fiji, a draw and a loss to Tonga and losses to Wales and England on the short tour of 1973. Sullivan at first denied that he had turned professional but his eventual move to St George reaped few rewards.
