    Cann represented Australia in the Decathlon.At the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne.He finished Tenth.He scored 6,278 points.

    john cann is not recognised for his many talents,olympic decathlete,nature lover,snake man,very good rugby lead player,turtle man,also spent time in many parts of australia,surely he should be on wikipedea !

    I met John when relieving in a bank st Tumbarumba in 1960, he was
    there playing rugby league and we stayed at the same hotel.
    I rember him on occasions clearing the bar with his snakes. A nice young bloke about my age but someone I looked up to.
