Scores were 5 all at fulltime 10 mins each way extra time was played with no further score. The decision on which team was going to progress to the final was made the following morning on a toss of a coin by NSWRFL assistant secretary Ken McCaffrey the coin fell on "tails" for Newtown to go into the final.
