Mal Reilly with a rib injury again dropped out of the Manly team and was replaced by Bill Bradstreet.

Max Brown suffered a knee injury midway through the 2nd half and was replaced by Bill Clare, 10 mins from fulltime Mark Willoughby injured a thigh and was replaced by Terry Hill.

Newtown replaced Paul Dawson with Peter Parry late in the 2nd half.
