Match Notes

Les Hayes replaced Terry Bawden in the Easts teams due to strained stomach muscles.

Easts lost fullback Alan McKean just before running out when he apparently badly cut his lip on a lemonade bottle requiring 3 stitches. East played the first 5 minutes of the game with no fullback while Tom Coleman put his gear back on having just finished the reserve grade game. Rumours were he was in fact punched in the mouth by one of the Easts forwards and was too shaken to take the field.

John Peard was carried from the field with concussion after 15 mins and replaced by Ayshford.

Note: Forward packs are listed in reverse order.
