Biography

Souths RU backrower played against NZ four times during 1907 while representing NSW and Australia. Although a hardened 28-year-old, Rosewell looked set to build on his RU Test career but changed codes in 1908 to play for Souths in the first year of the Sydney rugby league competition. Rosewell represented NSW against NZ and played in the first RL Test held in this country (also against NZ) and toured with the Pioneer 1908-09 Kangaroos. However, he played in just one match on a tour and can be considered a passenger on the history-making trip. A coach at Souths in 1913, Rosewell passed away in 1938, aged 56.
